ImplementationThis page will consisit of reflections of my implementations of the different forms of technology resources. I will give a summary of each of the resources that I used in my classroom with my students. I will be honest with my reflections as well as give a recommendation to other teachers on using the resource.

Kahoot As we started a Kahoot Quiz one thing that the students quickly began to notice is that each question is timed. For some of the questions I like this option because it required students to focus and not play around, but I’ve noticed when doing another quiz a week later that the time was not enough time for them to solve the problem. I think they should have an option to time the question or not time it. The number one thing that the students enjoyed was the competition aspect.
At the end of every question Kahoot lets the students know who they are behind and how many points they are behind. It also shows who are the top five students of the quiz. So by the students creating their own name many of them do not know who’s in the lead. I like this because one of my students who my other students thought did not know anything, because he sits in class and does not say a word and it appears to them that he does not do his work, but he ended up winning and his classmates could not believe it. This give students like him an opportunity to hide who they are, but shine at the same time. I would highly recommend other teachers using Kahoot in their classrooms. |
Concept MappingUsing Popplet, I created my own concept map on the topic of Triangle Congruence. There are five ways to prove that two triangles are congruent. These five theorems served as my subtopics: ASA, AAS, SSS, SAS, and HL. For each subtopic I provided a photo, definition and a link to a website that gives more explanition on get individual theorem. Below is a link to view my Popplet.
